Default Re: Garmin GPS

The 182 and 182C are both great units. For what it's worth, I went with the 182 instead of the color 182C. Money was one consideration, but here was my reasoning.
The 182C has a less resolution (320x234 vs 360x240) more is better.
The 182C has a smaller display (5.5 vs 5.0) bigger is better.
The 182C has only 16 colors, and the 182 has 10 scales of grey, so your really only get 6 more levels of detail (but the color does look pretty).
The 182 can have either a built in antenae or a remote, the 182C only has a remote.
I have used both units quite a bit, and for me, the color on the GPS wasn't a big deal. On a fishfinder, it's a whole different story, but either one will work great.
They are great units.
