Default Re: Best Engine for a 20ft CC

I am in the process of restoring a 1974 SF20. After much research, I chose a Merc 200 EFI. Weight is very much a factor on this boat due to the close proximation of the deck and the actual waterline. Also, I have had this boat powered by a 135 Evinrude, 175 Mariner, and a 200 Johnson. 200 HP is ideal for me. The weight of the new Merc 200 EFI is the same as the 150 and I like the extra kick of a 200.
