The ideal engine probably depends on what the owners primary objective is. If fishing is the main goal, a 135-150 is more than adequate. However, if the goal is to see the outer limits of how fast a 19'6" fishing boat will go, a bracket with positive floatation and twins would definitely make it go faster.

Go to any inland lake and watch the bass boys drive by with their glitter-painted boats with 250's on the tail and determine if that is how you want to get from point A to B [img]images/icons/smile.gif[/img] , If so, more is better.
