Default Re: Silverhawk Boats

Hi Scott,

It really angers me when people think they know more than I do The nerve! Seriously no one knows it all, and if I don't I say so, and go get help.

We have just started selling the Silverhawk line. One of the other owners here, bought one about 8 months ago. Along with his friend and another owner here, they conspired to add a Yanmar diesel to the boat. The folks at Silverhawk agreed, and voila! It was not until recently the opportunity to own this dealership came up, and an arrangement was made to retail the boats. We still do just the diesel, but if someone wanted the boat with outboards we would do that to. The thing is with an outboard, we compete against several hundred other 23 CC's. With a diesel, we compete with maybe a handful of boats, and feel it gives us a real market niche. Price wise, the diesel works out to be a better deal than outboards. if you figure out the cost of twins vs the diesel, it is a little higher, but you get 10,000 hours on the Yanmar vs 1200( average) on a outboard powerhead. Sheesh, I am rambling here guys, didn't mean to get on a soapbox about the diesel!

Conflicts? None! Two different boats when you get down to the layout, it just comes down to personal preference. And of course SeaCraft does not produce a diesel boat.

Ok, hope that helps, let me know if anybody has questions.
