Re: 23 CC minty green! Pipe Dream?
Its a 94 and I am planning on running it overoiled for a while, along with ditching the VRO (That got wet too) to start.
Yea I would love to sell it good running condition for a little bit more $$ but if it lets go, he will be the first one to hear about it! Well, second to everybody else on the beach when I start letting the 4letter words fly. Boats all masked off and getting shot tomorrow and Monday!!

Re: 23 CC minty green! Pipe Dream?
Picked it up the other day, and dropped the Top on it! Then tied it down for the tropical storm that's coming..
Putting the bilge hatch on to keep the rain out of there The floor on the mako had sagged a little... about 1/2in I got a fix for that I think.

Re: 23 CC minty green! Pipe Dream?
I hope you do ok with the storm!
I have never seen another 23 with the fish box there. Mine is located under the leaning post. Do you still have a compartment in front of the console? I have the step up bow compartment then the fuel tank all the way back to just behind the console. |

Re: 23 CC minty green! Pipe Dream?
The storm is almost by us now! Its raining everywhere in the NE but cape cod... go figure.
That fishbox came from in front of the console, and I moved it back under the leaning post to slide the fuel tanks up. I still have the casting platform box too.

Re: 23 CC minty green! Pipe Dream?
Glad you made out ok. It could have been much worse! I got to spend some time in cape cod this summer for the first time, I would love to spend the summers there!
When you moved the fish box, it came out as a whole and you just reglassed it back in? Does it just seat on the stringers? Where does it drain? Mine drains in to the buldge which is all open from behind the fish box up to the transom. The PO just put in flush doors where the engine box was once. I have been thinking about trying to move it back some more. I would like to put in a new leaning post with cooler below it on slides then have the fish box just aft of that with bilge access from doors vertically on the inside of the transom. But I still need to try and figure out a live well. Is there a live well on your boat? I have never been able to find where the factory live wells were in pictures or old literature |

Re: 23 CC minty green! Pipe Dream?
Just got back on after having no power for 3+ days. Made a little progress.
Ill try to answer a couple questions. 1. The box was removed with a 2-3in lip around it (beyond where the cover would sit) I had to grind some of the core off it and then stuck it to the bottom of the deck panel before installing the deck. 2. The hull is a little deeper forward more, so I had to take the core out of the box and add more glass (lost about 1/2-3/4in that way) On installing the box, the center stringer needed to be notched ~3/8in and reglassed to allow for box clearance. It now sits directly on the center stringer. (as it did factory up front) 3. There is aprox 2in between the sides of the box and stringer boxes, thats the easy part! 4. I have the front casting platform fish box, and the rear one plumbed together w/1.5in hose and both go to a macerator pump for the end of the day rinse out. 5. I started building a livewell, but decided it was too much water on deck (close to 500lb above deck, and taking up space) so I scraped it and I am going with Tuna tubes over the stern, above the bracket. I wanted to have the MOST space one deck as I could and trying to keep that in mind with any changes I make in the plan. Got the bracket on the last couple days and all sealed up. Threw on the Seacraft logos, installed the drain plugs and polished up the hull vents. Ill hang the motor in the next couple days after the sealant has set up and drop it in the water. It will be the first time in YEARS that boat has seen the water I am pretty psyched!

Re: 23 CC minty green! Pipe Dream?
Yea I gota get rid of the Mako part, probly keep the shark for the hell of it. I NEED a CSC sticker to put on there now! Hint hint!
As of lst night I put the plugs in, it would actually float! Once I get the motor hung ill dip it and check the water line.

Re: 23 CC minty green! Pipe Dream?
I have those vents on my 25 Seafari. Be careful. Mine have sharp edges and I sliced a finger open a while back while washing the boat. I took a little dremel burr to it to dull the edges
