Re: some more work, Non skid , console modification
THX for the post...The cooler is molded into the console..one continuous piece and forms the seat in front of the console. But your post gave me an idea, perhaps I can screw some stingers/angle into the deck that go between the outside and iside of the cooler's sides and secure it with some screws fromvthe outside.

Followed this over from SFC. That is one beautiful boat. Excellent craftsmanship as well I will be referring back to this when I start my project.

I also to an extra plug holder cut the back of it off and mounted it next to the engine rigging. here is one of the scuppers me and my buddy Kevin in the bow

Absolutely Classic! Great job. You nailed it, but the scuppers I dare say , are the new standard - Dang McGill

Re: Started 20' upgrade and restore
Please HELPPPPP... I also have a 20 footer (1979 center console seacraft) that I am trying to restore but I am having a heck of a time getting the fuel tank out... I pulled my console, pulled the 3 "decklids",, un-bolted the 4 brackets on the fuel tank from the hull (2 bolts each),, took a sawsall and cut into the foam all around the tank,,, thinking that all of that would allow me to pull the tank out - I then took 2 floor jacks/double 2 by 4's and steel braided wire to pull the tank up and it didn't budge,, in fact the 2 by 4's were about to snap... Is there something else holding that in??

Re: Started 20' upgrade and restore
Beautiful! ALso like the fact that you didn't use a bracket, I know they work great but I've never liked the look, I prefer the classic look like yours, congrats!

Re: Started 20' upgrade and restore
bota thanks for the great comments. I put about 150 hours on the boat so far and everything has been working perfectly. Still need to get a 20"pitch prop just to cheap to buy a new one.
