If anybody has 1/2" bait net bring it please, we may need to go the skyway to get bait with the water temps - my 1/4" doesn't do well there

Fires are fine, I'm bring 2 fire enclosures

I am also bringing my new a improved bait motel, so if somebody wants to hunt some on friday with me we should be done for the weekend and for anybody that wants to fish from the seawall - I will get an update on the bait location later today but they may have moved to deeper water. I'm pretty much done except for the Bats

To all of you lucky souls going to "VDR Fest",

Make it a great time, be safe and when you've done enough partying for yourself, remeber you have to party some more for those of us who can't be there with you!! Safe Times, Flat Water, and Tight Lines - take care and be well.
Thanks BigLew, we will raise many a beverage in our Northern Bretheren's honor. Of course the action pictures will be posted ASAP identifying all the rowdy VDR Players involved.
My kinda Man! Thanks.

I'm bringing the grill. I also have a 10ft 3/8 net. Bait is insane it's everywhere and we should have no problem.

I actually was after bait in the manatee river 2 weeks ago. Pulled up to a marker, threw my net over a good show. DAMN! The net is stuck on the bottom. Wait, no it isn't, It's got 1000+4 inch baits!!!!!! I felt like Jesus and the Apostles trying to bring it aboard. Just bring some Jack Mack.

Talking about cast netting brings back some recent memories from our keys trip in August. This is how it went;
Ryan "Wow blue runners and Ballyhoo everywhere Im gonna load the livewell"
Renee "Go get em honey, you can do it"
Ryan "That was a great throw, look at all that bait in there"
Renee "Wow! Awesome job, look at it sink, pull it in quick"
Ryan "#E%$% "
Renee "Hun whats wrong?"
Ryan "#$%#"

Anyone else ever forget to loop the cord around their wrist?

That was before the water temp dropped 15' in 3 days, I do hope find some but pins are always available - if we do have to to the skyway at least it will only be once - the bait motel is serious sweet after some updates. Then everybody has it and we don't have to run baitwell pumps all night, plus the kids can have plenty for the seawall

I am really ready, even washed it - will be over there early tomorrow

I'll make a throw in the manatee river before I come up.

I can't wait. Cigars, steaks, a chill in the air. Does anyone like Single Malt? I have a bottle of 18 year old Glennfiddich someone gave to me. I could bring it if anyone wants some.
