Re: Should I buy a 2006 Seacraft 25?
Hey flatscat...I'd like to compare notes on your '74 Tsunami restore...mine is in progress too.....just sold the engines and hope to pull the bracket off this weekend. The cap is loose and ready to lift off as well....then the real work can start.....

Re: Should I buy a 2006 Seacraft 25?
BayouBoy, what are you planning on powering your 23 with? I'm helping flats cat with his boat. I stoped by and looked at the SeaFoam green 23 Scepter on IOP last week, he's got a single 225 Opti on the transom. Curious what your plans are.

Re: Should I buy a 2006 Seacraft 25?
Twin somethings on a bracket. It has a stainless marine bracket on it. If money were no object I'd get the seamark bracket and twin 150 E-Tecs. But since I have time I'm shopping for the best deal on power.....twin zuke 140s, twin 150 Optis or Yam HPDIs, or twin 150 E-Tecs....
I have to say I like the merc smartcraft stuff....but I'm looking for deal. |

Re: Should I buy a 2006 Seacraft 25?
Ritchie up at Cape Romain had some deals on 140 zukes a while back, I don't know if he still has any, if you decided to go with e-tecs, I strongly recomend Cape Romain, they have stuck it out with Ficht, Ram FIcht, and now e-tec, they know thier way aroound these motors, not every dealer woorks on these engines
