Thanks guys, I did put a lot more force on this last one that I put on the boat 2 days ago + I damaged the threads just a little approx ½ way up. I think a torque wrench makes sense. I have always been a little concerned about tighten these things in the past for a couple or reasons first this is soft metal not wanting to strip it. And after it starts to corrode getting it off again.

Good idea to eb concerned about getting it out later.
Last year I broke the bolt holding one of the anodes that had been on my Merc OB. I finally got it out with a good ez out but it was tough trying to find someone to helicoil new threads in there for me. Ended up pushing back our launch date two weeks. Thinking of it now makes me wish that i'd broken them loose before storing for the winter.
