Got the livewell plumbed earlier in the week and last night my son and I installed the bracket

Going to keep moving forward on my punch-out list. Really hope to have it 100% done by the 16th...

Installed new latches on the transom pieces plus two new rod holders, hung the electronics/storage box, as well as reinstalled the grab rail on Saturday.

Today, the afternoon rains are putting a damper on things for me. So far I got all of the old rigging removed. Removed old gauges. Started pulling out any old/unnecessary wiring. Might run to West Marine and get a rigging flange while I wait for the sun to come back out.

Also need to add to my punch-out list -

New guide posts and lights for the trailer.
I may also install new wheel bearings and hubs if I have the time.

No pictures since it is pouring down rain right now

Finished removing all old rigging, made and installed new doors for the center console, installed a new livewell pump, and repainted the deck since it got all screwed up from my carelessness while redoing the transom.

Almost ready to bring to International Marine on Tuesday!

Guide posts installed on trailer, new trailer lights on guide posts, Rigging tube flange installed, ping pong ball scuppers installed on outer drains and rear bolsters installed.

Couple of minor things to do after work tomorrow before hooking her up to the truck to bring down to IM first thing Tuesday morning

Looks like I will also need new axles and leaf springs for the trailer pretty soon. Getting kind of rusty under there...

Looks good. That’s me on tht that just gave the update on the merc 150. I had originally planned to go the same route as you with the Suzuki 140, it was a fair price and quick turn around. I was thrashing until the wee hours the morning every day on the boat to get it ready for our scallop trip, I couldn’t afford the time lost to give it to them for a week to hang the motor. I bought the merc and hung and rigged myself while several other things were going on the boat simultaneously.

The cost of the merc 150 alone was not much less than what they quoted at IM for the Suzuki 140 hung, rigged, tested, and out the door. Your setup should run great, just being in the position of the boat build you are in a couple weeks ago your almost there, good times are ahead. Give an update with how it runs if you can.

Jared,

I looked at the Merc 150 as well. Pricing helped me decide for sure. Plus, after all that I have done myself, it was nice to drop the boat off and let someone else deal with something for once LOL

I will certainly post an update once I get her back and in the water

Chomping at the bit here...Waiting to hear if I can pick her up before the weekend. They promised her back by Tuesday but said before then was a definite possibility. I believe in possibilities LOL

No dice on getting back for the weekend.

IM said they are behind due to the heat causing their guys to need more hydration breaks than normal plus needing to cool down every so often in the AC. I work outside a lot too so I get it. The summer heat does slow you down a little...

My son was next door to IM picking up from one of my suppliers and took this picture this afternoon

He said it does not have the steering wheel or gauges done yet but this is progress versus what I saw on Friday
