The last time we spoke about having something in YT,CR or Homosassa I could not find anything with what we need. Someplaces have parts. The marina in YT that NO BONES asked about would not have enough docking or camping space.
Then we have the bugs... This area is know as the sandgnat capital of the world! Yankeetown Marina is a friend of mine and has a field that Fl Sportsman did a weekend on it's mostly rock and I would like someone else's opinion before I offer it up. the marina has restrooms but no showers. Shrimp boats show up around daylight. I guess what I'm trying to say is it's nice living here but I would want to camp here. Egg, anything on inner Tampa Bay?

Posting pictures of Durney for Ryan ...
![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Really looks nice, plenty of space & not crowded. We have a Canopy with screen, a few of those will be nice for shade. Instead of spending on campsite, buy a porta-potty & 5-gal jug of fresh shower water. If Ryan doesn't mind, Skip & I will take one of his trailer parking spaces. When's this happening????

Wave - not much other than Beer Can Is. Apollo Bch - we also have the option of Shell Is. off Ft Desoto with is a close run back to the ramp for cars or the campground for showers and bathrooms but no dogs or alcohol.
I kinda like the Durney Key idea personally, lots of good fishing and some places to go

Sounds pretty good to me! I'll just stay on the boat with all the comforts of home! Shadow will come too if they allow dogs! Will need a trailer parking spot also. Is there deep water all around the island such that you could move to get out of the wind if it really started to blow? What time of year are we looking at?

Durney Key is off the coast of Pasco County, Just North of Tarpon Springs. We usualy can get to Miami in less then 4 hours and that is going 65, so you could probably make it faster. Lots of good Grouper digging offshore, and Tons of artificial reefs including a big group of M60 army tanks in 30ft of water which make for a unique diving experience. And the Docks at Hooters can accomodate about 12 boats
