you can update your lower cowlings. I just threw away a scratch and dent pair of 96 lowers...they have one rigging tube on starboard side.

any reason why you went with johnson pumps as oppossed to rule pumps? i always thought rule was the industry standard.

Thank you Don you were on my list to call actually for info! I have also considered threading the control cables through one of these TH fittings for the fuel line (if it will fit)
http://www.thmarine.com/product.cfm?PRID=196 I am resisting the urge to drill more holes in the bracket as I know one day I will update the motor and have a proper all in one rigging tube. But I am liking the PVC trick, we also considered having a piece of starboard that would slide in like stock, and have a snout for the tube. Hermit, thanks buddy glad to hear it! ![]() Blue, Rules are the standard because they are available, I have heard nothing but good things about the Johnson pumps, one of these was on my last boat and it pumped for quite a while HA! Bigshrimpin thanks its a pretty standard, simple 'down east' design. I dont like the vertical walls where ya end up kicking the bottom of the transom every time you try to walk up to it! Thanks to Brian for the idea!

Well here it is! It ran today for over and hour, round and round and round in Town cove...
I need a 5in extension, but it ran with only a couple little hicups, once I get the prop correct (I think the 14.5X19 is going to be close) I can tune up the carbs a little bit. But into the wind at 5500RPM it hit 30+ on the GPS http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Pj569-YXBmc WOW what a water line! ![]() ![]()
