Gilly, That bow flare really exists. Its on the stock Boats.
They cut the bow down on the 23, so they don't exist on that hull. It does on the production 21.

Early race rules required raceboats to be stock boats ... so in the early 60's the production 21' was raced. Mid 60's, the race rules changed, and the sheer line of the 21 was cut down for sleeker race boats.

Sandy, our 21 is an early 60's raceboat, and a few years ago, a gentleman contacted Moesly as he had just acquired a raceboat built to specs in mid-late 60's. New owner was going to restore her for his personal use.

My father passed away on June 2nd. Dad touched many people in the South Florida boating community, having been in the Boat Business for over fifty years as a dealer for various brands of boats and motors, as well as a boat builder.

Sorry to hear of your Dad's passing. Clearly, based on the number of folks on this thread alone, he had a huge impact on the performance boating and SeaCraft scene. Cherish the memories, and Godspeed, Mr Frank Brown III.

Very sad news ... and so sorry for your loss.
My father always considered your father as one of the best dealers SeaCraft ever had. He also knew his Merc engines & could practically recite the manual.... had a problem? he knew how to fix it.
When I bought our Bowrider, I remember Frank telling me how he used to fill the front cockpit with water & let you young ones play in it while he fished. He leaves behind many memories. Carla

Love all the picures! Yes... This hull was pulled from the same mold as #31 which I believe is a 25. At 28' this was the longest from that mold. Was told 6 or 8 boats were built from that particular mold. Hopefully plan to start the restoration next winter.
