Default What to look for?

It seems I'm always a day late & dollar short in my quest for a classic 20' cc. No one has bitten on this one yet: http://adcache.boattraderonline.com/6/6/6/55315666.htm - caught my attention because of the $$. I had a 79 Seafari outboard before, so I'm familar with the boat. I have not inspected the boat yet. I would imagine the outdrive will need to be removed for the transom replacement. Should I keep the engine & outdrive stock if it ain't broken? Any points to look for are appreciated.

I would consider finding a better one for slightly more coin as it comes along unless you specifically want to do a restoration... If you want to fish, some real nice ones come buy from time to time for about 4K ....
