Along with Ed Mancini and Trayder, I had the privilege of experiencing this very phenomenon in person courtesy of Other Tom. As we neared warp speed, all of a sudden the rods were there in the t-top, and then there was a flutter of vapor, and they were gone as we broke through the sound barrier! It's an amazing thing that I will not soon forget

Nothing like having one break the sound barrier coming up behind you 100 ft in the air while running in from the canyon. Will make you need to change your britches!!!!

Miles .....They pulled that with us one morning in the Hudson....two of us were up in the tower and scared the crap out of us ..... we both ducked as we thought we were going to get hit. He circled around took another look ... saw that we were minding our own business and trolling ....and was on his merry way ..... That got the heart pumpin'

When I lived out West, I spent a lot of time in Death Valley and the Eastern Sierras and would often be sitting on a rock admiring the scene in absolute silence, the type of which seems only to exist in the desert. Often I would see two jets zipping along side-by-side VERY low to the ground. The times you see them before you hear them are the fortunate ones: out in the open desert, there are no sound ordinances and you have just enough time to cup your hands over your ears before the ground trembles with the sonic boom. Pretty awe inspiring. Wonder what kind of fuel economy they get with those twins on the back?!

That image reminds me of when I used to fly jets for the former Iraqi Airlines. It was the year I bought my beloved SeaCraft 27 Walk "Sadam" with twin Cats with Hamilton jet drives. My wife, Cristie, whom I stole from a famous musician was delivering our 6th child. It had vulcan ears and looked remarkably like a large Striper.

Then I woke up. What does it all mean?

this all expressly points to your need to buy that 27'!......and return the wife to the musician of course.
