Default Livewell ideas.. Sceptre

Hey folks how is it going!?
I have a 85 Sea Sceptre and I want to add a aerator and pump to the live well. I was also thinking about adding one to one of the two Fish boxs. I need to think of some kind of system to keep bait alive. What othere options are there out there? Any good ideas out there?

Thanks!

Do you have any photos of your boat? That may help. Use the search function, I thought I read about someone doing what your talking about.

Best of Luck.

GoingBig,
Are you talking about the floor livewell? If so, you'll need to drill both an overflow drain and raw water inlet up near the top. The existing drain in the center doesn't have much clearance between the bottom of the fitting and the hull, so you have to use a 90-degree elbow. Also, the drain is not countersunk, so the well never truly drains all the way.

If your Sceptre also has the 2 coolers/fishboxes under the seats, again you're in the same sitaution as the floor well. However, the seat boxes are square and not normally recommended for livewell duty since the bait will get trapped in the corners and die faster.
