Considering most guys would want twins for anything seriously offshore, the 1600# weight is going to be a tough nut to work with.
They're going to need to offer this beast in a 35" or 40" length ...... well, unless it runs ok completely submerged at times. Darlene |

Lots of SKA boats now running triple 225/250's, with a total engine weight of over 1800-1900 lbs. Twin 350's with a total weight of 1606 seems to me to be a better solution.
And this looks like a good idea for a single on the back of a 23' ![]() Of course, twin 250's on a flotation bracket on the back of a Sceptre still look better sitting at the dock. ![]() I saw a yellow one this week at Crackers restaurant in Crystal River w/ older twin 250 2 stroke Yamaha's.

I'm sure we'll be seeing twins and tripples of that engine on the back of boats very shortly. It's a case of "if you build it bigger/faster/more costly, they will buy it".

I saw it at the Miami show as well and it looks big really to big but it seems that outboard are going crazy now a days. I think the 300 hp 2 stroke Yamaha would make a lot more sense to me.
