Default boat value

I know this question has been asked before but I needed to get the ballpark amount. What is the ball park value of a 1976 20ft MA, and a 1978 20ft Seafari without power on both(Seafari in/out)? The hulls are in good shape. There has been no work done on either. I don't know what to offer. Thanks

Aare you sure that the transoms and decks are in good shape? Also, what about the gas tanks?

I am guessing anythere from $2k to $5k if they are in decent shape.

Do you have any pictures?

There is a Seafari on the for sale sight here no motor for $650.00 with trailer. I would think 5k the thing would have to be perfect.

i picked up an '84 20SF with no power that was in rough aesthetic shape, but sound structural shape (transom ok, deck solid) for $750 with a small T-Top and curtains. Thought it was a pretty good deal. Hope that helps.

My 1970 Seafari had a solid hull, floor and deck with a good paint job, newer wiring and cables, rebuilt outdrive, some electronics and an excellent tandem axle aluminum trailer but with a seized engine and it sold for $3000.

MY 18SF with a rebuildable 130 Yamaha sold for $2900 quickly in June. It was a clean boat.

Thanks for the info men. There has been no work (notta) done on either of these boats. I do not have any pics. I made the mistake of telling a relative of the 20 MA that I would consider offering 4k for the boat and I think that was dumb. The Seafari owner told me today that the boat runs but I looked at the motor and it is in rough shape, and without any upgrades. The Seafari owner said he would take $3250 minimum. He needs a new motor for sure, he has an aluminum deck on the rear with a trawl harness attached that I would definitely remove, and what is under that remains to be seen. As far as the decks on both boats they appear to be solid and the transoms on both, well you avid seacraft warriors know the skinny on that. I don't know what is fair without an insult to each owner. well thanks for the input I will figure something out.
