single I.O. or twin I.O.
there are a few other 23 sceptres I am concidering, besides the diesel I.B., which is heavier ? 2 165 hp. 4 clys., alfa drives, or a single 350 block with still an alfa drive? and wich do you think will burn more gas? and wich would be faster?

The twin aluminum big-block 4 cyl. FWC engines and drives outweigh the single V8 and drive by 96 lbs, according to my book.

if you are keeping the boat in the water I would definitely go with the single- twin i/o's kept in a slip are where the term "double-trouble" originated (and if it didnt, it should have!)- me personally, i dont see any advantages of twins over the single- also if planning on keeping it in the water stay away from the bravo-3, notorius(sp) for electrolysis/corrosion problems. jmo -craig
