Default Short SeaCraft OEM Video

You may have seen this, but I thought it was cool to watch. The 32' looks like fun...

SeaCraft boat runs hard

Good to see a little bit of rough water in an ad. Contender has the only other rough water ads that I've seen. Thanks for the video

I didn't see any "green" big water in those. The kind you get when the wind kicks up to 15-20 out of the north in the gulf stream. I had a guy with me last year on one of those days where you lost the horizon in the troughs, came through at about 24 mph, dry, and no launches or crashes. He now owns a 23' SeaCraft.

Funny, you talk to people that used to own one, and they all say it's the best riding boat they ever had.

ROUGH water is what's on the front cover on the 1974 Brochure in Literature section! It's from a great film made by Bruce Brown in the Sea of Cortez called "A Long Way in a Small Boat"! It was about 2 SeaCraft 23 cc's, one with I/O's and one with twin Johnson V-4's, that ran the entire length of the Baja peninsula in conditions like that picture, not a whole lot different than some of the Offshore Powerboat races around Florida and the Bahamas in the 60's where Moesly raced the 21's! I saw the film playing at the SeaCraft display at the 1974 Miami Boat Show, complete with Bruce Brown's cool narration and soundtrack. Best promotional video I've ever seen! As I recall, the only problem they had was finding fuel! Very few marinas or anything else in that area back then; seems like they had to haul in fuel in 4WD trucks to meet the boats at several locations along the way!

I agree with JohnB. I saw nothing there that I wouldn't run a Seafari on plane in. the biggest I saw was maybe 3'. Just fun stuff. Show me the boat in a storm-driven 4-7, or 5-8. THAT would impress me.

Bushwacker - I totally agree. If Tracker only knew about that video . . . They could sell seacrafts 24x7x365 showing that video. It's very inspirational . . .

This image from the 1974 Catalog is one of the stills that shows the conditions that Bruce Brown and his buddies drove in for 5 days 800 miles (average speed over 20knts). . . . from San Felipe to Cabo San Lucas.

Sure beats those sissy conditions in the Tracker Video.

Now that's the water I am talking about. The "were is the horizon" size waves. I do like my Sceptre when the waves come over the bow .
