I was looking at NoBones 27 pics and it appeared that one was mounted to the bulkhead forward of each engine, (the pic where he is describing the way the bulkheads were installed). There's four screws with, what looks like, the tabs from old switches visible. Just a swag.

Mine are inside the engine box, mounted on the transom, not the most convenient location, but at least it forces me to look at the engine often. Since you are starting from scratch, maybe it would be possible to put them in a panel in front of the transom, above or to the side of the engine box recessed under the transom cap. The seafari 25 will allow that and its on my list of low priority things to do.

Looking forward to seeing your boat on the 18th.

How about pm me with your gps location and/or directions from the water side.

Connor, I have an e-mail from Terry with that info that I'll forward.

Terry, I think there's something to be said for having the switch outside the engine compartment! A guy I worked with had a 34' Viking with twin diesels that caught fire while underway, evidently due to an electrical problem. His automatic fire extinguisher went off, putting out the fire and also killing the engines. When he opened the hatch to turn off the battery switch, the fire re-ignited!
The boat sank just a couple of miles offshore!

Terry, I had a 23 I/O and had the switch mounted on the starboard transom between a hatch door and the engine cover. But I think something like the recessed battery switch box that Strick used on his 20 console would be real nice right below the SeaCraft logo on the engine box, or maybe forward and low on either side of the box. Short run to batteries and bus bars, not much movement and inconspicuous, but very accessible. Looking forward to mor pics of your 21.

This is not a "nice" pic but it shows where the switch and batteries were.
