Ignition.....
Trying to change the position of my ignition switch on the console and I am finding it to be a bigger project than originally thought. The reason I am moving it is the key ignition is at 6 o'clock position directly underneath the steering wheel. It is difficult to get to it to turn the boat on and sometimes I gouge my knuckles on the key when I spin the wheel around....sometimes when that happens the key turns and the boat turns off. Anyways, the original hole in the console is still there and is covered by a piece of woods paneling....seems like an easy switch. However, I realized that the wires are molded into the ignition, so I can't simply disconnect them to move it. The ignition is bigger than the hole it sits in in the console so it can't be backed out. Any suggestions?

Re: Ignition.....
There isn't a ferrule nut on the shank? It should be color coded so cut, splice, solder, heat shrink done. I feel like I'm missing something, got any pics.

Re: Ignition.....
Oh wow, there is a plastic nut on the ignition....didn't realize that it actually was a real nut. Got it apart and moved over fine, thanks!
