Potter Built Vs. 1989 18' SF
I know the guys on this site love the potter builts. What makes them that much better than the 80's models? My real question is, would a 1989 18' SF be worth renovating? Is it a good boat?

Re: Potter Built Vs. 1989 18' SF
Here's the problem, its not the boat but perception, the Potter Classics are just that Classic's. After that they are just SeaCraft's. The Potters had some costly features like the balsa inlays in the decks and the Marinium hardware. The issue would be a difference in resale that it wasn't a Potter - which is why your asking too. So yes it would be a fine boat maybe just depends on how much work it needs and your plans for it.
