I was thinking your back yard would be a great place. I've always wanted to dive/fish the rigs. And your inshore looks entertaining enough.

We go up there and I may have to take a dive refresher course

I am trying to find a place around here Charlotte County...we have a lot of places that only meet 2 out of 3 on criteria...

Default Charlotte Harbor / Boca Grande option

I have access to a stilt house at 26-37-53 / 82-13-44 on Cayo Costa about a mile SSW from Cabbage Key if that helps meet the one of the three criteria.

This might be really neat. The whole key is that some people like to camp and or sleep on the boat. Some folks like to motel it with access to the boat. And last it has to have some area that we can beach up to and throw one big cook out.

A perfect spot would be Don Pedro state park IF it had camping...but it doesn't .

Looks fabulous on Google Earth. One of my favorite areas. Good shelter for camping is close, big beach in front, big dock behind. If some folks can sleep in the house, its darn near perfect. And fresh oysters for the taking are only 3 miles away.

Conner, I think it's fabulous, but some of my friends say I'm mess'ed up. Here is what it does have - It's one mile to Captiva Pass. it has 6' of water at the dock on the bayside and we can raft up 3 deep on two docks. Propane heated fresh water showers oven and stove, two water closets, 1 mile south and 6 miles north of blinding white sandy beaches with 100' of frontage for tent campers. It has enough "canned amps" solar power to run a half dozen anti-no-seem 24"" box fans and back-up generator, if it is overcast. We can send Kmoose and Co. out to the spring for some AJ's and put them on the smoker. We've had 20 sleep in the house before, but that is a little "cozy". If someone needs A/C blow'in on 'em, Cabbage Key is only about a mile north up the ICW and the Tarpon Lodge is a couple of miles away over at Pineland.
I understand CSC is a "Bi-Coastal" organization and they just had a function at Tarpon Springs, so I'm good with Long Point, Ponce Inlet, or Jacksonville Beach too. I just thought I'd run it up the flagpole for future consideration. I wouldn't be the first time I brought the flag back down with bullet holes in it......!

Yes the same knucklehead, and I thought I would have been voted off "the Rock" years ago. Too funny, I'll contact you off this thread and catch up.
