Default Re: 23' Savage Inboard

Thanx Jon G, I understand that philosophy and I guess thats why they only made one . I am going by Kens this morning and see if he has any pix of his jackshafted I/O. I believe if the moter was forward of the console , the boat would be to bow heavy and would be terribly hard on the moter by pounding brackets and breaking stuff. (this happened a lot on my old Mako Inboard and that boat had the moter under the center console. It hundred dollared me to death!!!! Thanx - any chanch of a pic of the savage??This is the first I have heard of one.

Interesting info, as soon as she's cleaned up a little I'll send in some pics of the Savage.

I came across an inboard Savage over the weekend here in St. Thomas...but it's darn near a basket case, major, major restoration project. Interesting going over the boat though...I like the layout! This boat looks more or less abandoned, no sign of anyone working on it for a looooong time. Good luck with your project, hope it helps knowing yours isn't the worst!
