Default Re: Epoxy

RAKA

I hope BillyBob will chime in about his experience with them. Epoxy is fantastic. So easy to use and much stronger than Poly and will seep into wood nicely.

Two things I dislike about epoxy, Price and the fact you can not gelcoat it. I have heard you can but I am unsure. Anyone ever done it? the West Systems catalog says you can but I am weary.

I am using Epoxy for everything under the deck, all of the stringers and the transom but all else will be Poly to permit my finsh Gelcoat plan.
I do like how Poly sets up so quick but man do I need to ventilate my garage when I use it, I start to sound like Cheech and Chong after a few minutes with poly, can feel my Brain Cells whithering away
