Question for you inboard folks/or others if you have any idea's

I would not run them dry. If you get five years out of a set of risers you are doing good. The fresh water is probably why. I run raw cooling water through center risers and get maybe three years. The "stuff" builds up inside really fast. Tried acid treatment but it just accellerated the disintergration of the risers.
