The problem with Sea Craft is Bass Pro Shops !I have been to the plant in Florida. Remember ....they build Mako and seacraft side by side.....the difference being Seacraft uses no wood and Mako does. I was told that they build 80% Mako's and 20% Seacraft. So lets say they need a Seacraft Hull...they pull 4 or 5 guys off the mako line to build a seacraft. In florida they had a big problem with the work force.....Non english speaking......and a big turn over of managers. Need I say more......Johnny Morris should sell off the Seacraft co build his Mako's and sell fishing Tackle. Johnny you bought the company because of the "NAME" Seacraft, trust me its far from it....

Captain C-
Keep on top of them and as soon as that boat is fixed, maybe you should think about quietly selling it. I know that is probably not what you want to hear, but it sounds like these problems may continue. |

Well we are getting closer to a resolution. I got an e-mail today that they will be putting the engines back on tomorrow. Then they are going to send it to a welding shop to have all of the welds on the T-Top re-done...surprised...I have never said anything about the T-Top other than I had to have it fixed.
There is a possibility I may get it back next week.

You might want to have it independently surveyed before you take delivery...just to be safe.

The boat arrived back in Houston today just before noon.
Three of the many cracks (one under the console and the two on each side of cockpit) they were supposed to repair were not touched and the transom has cracked again on the starboard side....well it's not just a crack...it opens when you push down on the starboard engine. Hows that for a top notch repair job?

Ha Captain C
I haven’t said much regarding your boat but have read this “I Have A Little Problem” thread since January of this year when you started posting in. I Really Feel For You like everyone else on this board for the raw deal regarding your 25 footer and their poor manufacturing attempts with a uni bracket. I wish things were different for you than what they are, but I really don’t think there are going to help you out on this problem because of their non transferable warrantee that went into effect that same year (some where in your thread you mentioned it) I am just going to say that: IF IT WERE ME I would count my losses and Move On. I know you don’t want to hear this, but if it has taken one year to get nowhere than it could take 3 more years to still get no where. Again IF IT WERE ME I would either, sell her as is, or pay someone or fix her, or fix her myself. Those Yellowfins you use to talk about are still waiting for you and your fishing life is to short to waist it on a broke boat. [censored] Happens and I’m sorry [censored] Happened to you. If you ever make it down here to South Florida let me know and I’ll take you out for the day fishing with me. I’m sure there are at least 10 other guys that will extend the same offer. Sorry again. FellowShip |

Like Fellow-Ship, I too have not said much (if anything) with regards to this thread, although I do empathize with you Captn C. I also believe that it may be time to cut your losses and move on, especially if there isn't any warranty coverage. I'd sell it as is and move on. The negative publicity that this thread has raised is probably enough for it to hurt new SeaCraft sales, which IMO is a decent dose of retribution on your part.
BTW, is it just me or are the "before" pix out of focus? I see the difference between "before" and "after", but the "befores" look a little fuzzy. |

Scott,
Yes the pictures are a little out of focus because of the light....or should I say the lack of it. But you can still see what I wanted seen.....the fact that the transom cracked some when it was being trailered and cracked a bunch once it was in the water. My lawyer seems to think I have a stong enough case (under the Texas Deceiptive Trade Act) that he is willing to take his money at the end. So I can last as long as Tracker wants because it hasn't cost me dime for his fees up to this point. Thanks for the offer guys.....I may just take you up on your offer one day!
