Default Re: Gemlux Rod Holders

Gemlux makes some nice products, Yellowfin uses their other line of rodholders, the ones where the holder is threaded and there is a large nut that threades up the holder to tighten up on the underside of the deck. These are the cleanest rodholder I have ever seen from secondhand experience they can handle a 200+ bigeye strike on 80-130lb tackle wit no problem.

The holders you are looking at are used OEM by many boat builders, Scout, Key West, Dorado, and on and on.

I agree with Mark that the Pompanettes are fantastic but you may want to pick up one of these Gemlux units just to inspect for yourself at $20 how could go wrong with 1 for a look see.
