Default Re: Repower - 4 stroke Yamaha vs Suzuki

I'm going on me fifth season with my df115 and corrosion is a concern. There's a small spot where the steering linkage hooks up but no biggy.
BTW the boat stay in the water 8 months out if the year.

Finster,

What are you running the DF 115 on?

Regarding corrosion, has not been an issue on my 6 year old DF 70, but I was talking to a friend at the Providence Boat Show and he said he is concerned that he may have problems on his Evnrude/Suzuki 50 'cause he didn't know about a zinc in the block, so he never changed it for the first 4-5 years that he's owned the engine. The guy is an independent foreign car mechanic and he said he did a major overhaul on the engine last fall and everything was right up to spec.

I'd like to swap my DF 70 (tiller) for a 2005 DF 115, with a wheel, controls, etc. I'm getting prices around 7K; sound right? Any opinions, comments, etc?

dcobbett, I have it on a 20' Aquasport. As far as price goes there's probibly other guys here that are more in tune with that than me.
