On my 1970 20SF, The starboard side I redrilled the holes
on the tab 2 inches out from center. This placed the through
hull fitting where I needed it. It did not affect the tab
at all. The tabs on mine are 9 x 24 Bennetts.
Just drill your 1/4 inch holes real slow through the stainless. Hope this helps. See ya, Ken

If your 20 is the MA with the deep baitwell . . . Then you might consider the cutting and installing a clear inspection plate inside the well (where the existing hole is)

You can pick up a shorter pipe and compression fittings for you tabs from any hardware store (regular plumbing hardware).

Also the nice part about the clear inspection plate is that you can install an LED light behind it (and now you have a light inside the baitwell for night fishing). Just make sure to put lots of 5200 around the inspection plate . . . so you don't pump bait juice into your your bilge.
