Chuck,
Believe it or not, one of the 115's will get the boat on plane, with or without the bracket. You will need tabs down and one motor out of the water. I got on plane at 14mph and about 4200 rpm's running my standard 23" prop. Drop down to a 19" prop and my guess is the boat would see 21-22mph. The motor was working really hard and I wouldn't want to do this for an extended period of time. My local Travis SeaCraft dealer had a 23 on their lot with a SINGLE 140!
