Fellow-ship.....I'm in the process of re-doing 2 thru hulls, 1 is transducer and 1 high speed pick-up for bait pump/washdown. I cut 3/4" plywood 6"x6", 45* the 4 edges and applied 3 coats of epoxy. I think this is similar to yours and some others I've seen. Do I really need to glass these down or would a generous amount of 4200 do??? The surface they're going on isn't as flat as I would like for glassing is my biggest concern.

Hey Ryank, I have an 18'sf that had the same sorry floor well. I added an externally mounted transom pick-up from Kodiak. It has a 700gph pump that supplies a 23 gallon oval well that sits on the rear deck. The over flow hose is larger than the supply hose. The over flow dumps over the transom near the engine. This set-up allows me to keep all the bait I need (sardines, blue runners, white-bait)for the whole day.

The transom is being enclosed and with a crown to look like an original I/O or IB transom with a bracket, We are fabricating a glassed in 28-30 gal livewell that will have two lids ( just like the ones on each corner) that open outward of each other. The drain(s) will be thru the side and the pump system will pull from a brass thru hull and strainer system mounted below deck. Should work quite nicely.
