. . . and all that was in basically FLAT water, except for boat wakes! Add 6-10' seas to that, along with bigger, heavier boats, and a bigger more open course, and that's what Carl Moesly competed very successfully in with the SeaCraft 21 in the 1960's offshore powerboat races!
