Default Re: Short SeaCraft OEM Video

ROUGH water is what's on the front cover on the 1974 Brochure in Literature section! It's from a great film made by Bruce Brown in the Sea of Cortez called "A Long Way in a Small Boat"! It was about 2 SeaCraft 23 cc's, one with I/O's and one with twin Johnson V-4's, that ran the entire length of the Baja peninsula in conditions like that picture, not a whole lot different than some of the Offshore Powerboat races around Florida and the Bahamas in the 60's where Moesly raced the 21's! I saw the film playing at the SeaCraft display at the 1974 Miami Boat Show, complete with Bruce Brown's cool narration and soundtrack. Best promotional video I've ever seen! As I recall, the only problem they had was finding fuel! Very few marinas or anything else in that area back then; seems like they had to haul in fuel in 4WD trucks to meet the boats at several locations along the way!
