You know, the cold is bad enough, but...

TONIGHT
NORTHEAST WINDS 20 TO 25 KNOTS WITH HIGHER GUSTS. NEAR
SHORE... SEAS 6 TO 8 FEET. IN THE GULF STREAM...SEAS 12 TO 14 FEET
SUBSIDING TO 10 TO 12 FEET AFTER MIDNIGHT. NORTHEAST SWELL 2 TO 4
FEET. INTRACOASTAL WATERS ROUGH IN EXPOSED AREAS. SLIGHT CHANCE OF
SHOWERS.

Anyone up for a quick trip across the Gulfstream to the Bahamas, I hear it's warmer over there!

Silver Sailfish Derby this weekend. This cold front should have the spindlebeaks surfing the alley. 2 yrs ago we had 2 quick ones come thru and Capt Ray Rosher on the Get Lit released 29 in 1 day. That`s not a typo.

Don`t look at this as an inconvenience, but an opportunity to Get Lit.

Having said that, I don`t miss my snow shovel in the least, and I wish I had access to a much bigger boat this weekend.

Happy new year and can`t wait for the Long Point/ Sebastian gathering.

South Hero (VT) got pretty toasty by mid-day...all the way up to +8 F. Had -10 F this morning, but the wind had finally let up. Our side of the lake froze up during the night; time to get out the DN (iceboat).

They had flurries in Daytona and New Smyrna Beach yesterday, with an air temp of 33. It was 19 at my house in Dunnellon at about 6:30 am yesterday. Warmed up to 54, though. Today, low of 37, high of 62. Tomorrow, forecast low of 44, high of 74.

Our temps aren't quit that bad, but the wind is. You guys should get a kick out of this.
