Default Re: Leaning Post Location

I was in a bind with mine because I had to leave enough room to open my engine compt.(which tilts forward) on the i/o and still have enough room between the post and console to drive boat and get into the console. The best advice I can give you is to put the post on the boat without fastening it and think about all of the things you do on the boat and how you move around. Will you need access to your console? Do you want to be able to sit and drive. This one may sound funny, but depending on how big your feet are (I wear a 13), is it easy for you to get between the console and the post? The last thing you want to do is have that thing bolted down and then realize that it drives you crazy every time you try to do something on the boat.
Good luck.
