Here's another option . . . . If you are at all mechanically inclined . . . You can pull the powerhead and lower and drop them onto an 1986+ mid-section with the newer trim and tilt setup. Also if you need ignition components stator, trigger, switchboxes . . . I have all kinds 9/16amp stuff.

There is a 1995 150 hp 2 lit Merc. on Charlestonfishing.com. Go to the web site. under Services, Classifieds, Engines for sale. I have no interest but it sounds like it may be viable. I dont know where u are located.
