Old 23' w/bracket and 250 Yam. OX66 here, it gets the job done but loaded to fish (120+ gal. fuel, ice, 45+ gal. bait well, etc.) it's minimal. 300 - 400 HP would be no problem. The 200 HPDI is a fine motor.

Have you taken it for a spin yet (the 23')? I would be interested to hear how you feel it compares to your 23'.

I have seen other 23's out there powered by a single 200 HP. I would guess you would have a WOT of the mid to upper 30's.

Mileage wise, i would go to the Yamaha web site and see how other 23's (such as Sailfish, Contender and Regulator do). i think that they have those numbers posted. I would use them as a rough baseline.

A real wild guess from me is you would get 2.5+ miles per gallon.
