My question is how many of us have put on 2,000 hours on a boat, re-powered and kept the boat?

IMO unless you are commercial or are planning on keeping the boat for ever, diesel still costs to much.
I agree, you could buy 2 Zukes for that, that cabin weighs something and my Sceptre rode heavier in the bow than a CC.
