I tried putting the cap back on and kinf of followed your approach, as u mentioned on your rebuild post, but the bulge still was very much present. I purchased the boat and it had already been 2 previous owners projects....i guess the cap was left off for some time when i purchased it, thanks for the input! I guess i'll just have to get it as close i can and let the fairing take over after that!
