I have a 24' Topaz with a 350 (250 hp) Mercruiser and have looked at installing the digital tach/ flometer combo unit as gauge panel space is limited and this would drop in existing hole.

While digging thru installation details looks like an extra part might be needed - pulsation damper - for mechanical fuel pumps. Did you have to install this? Any issues?
Don't have any feel for how big the damper is and have not pursued it any further.
