Default Re: bottom paint removal -best electric vacum sander?

I removed bottom paint on my 23 cc this summer and would never do it again. I used chemical strippers environmentally friendly and stuff from Lowes. The one from Lowes worked better but still didn't take it all off. I wound up using a combination of stripping and sanding. Even wearing a mask it still gets to you and wrecks your sinuses. You can also expect to sand through gel coat in places so be prepared for it. I really would not try it again it took about two weeks. I painted mine with white teflon bottom paint for trailer boats. All said I am happy with out come but it wouldn't have been as nice if I had wanted just gel coat. You would be much happier and healthier letting someone else do it and take the pain. Shop around for a better price.
