MY suggestion is to stay in Yarmouth as little as possible.... The only saving grace is that your in Yarmouth PORT, that little word means ALOT.

Seriously, the centeral and upper cape, are not cape cod. The rooms are cheaper typically down that way, but you gota hit Chatham, Orleans and Provincetown for the 'real' cape experience. That is alot of stuff to pack into just 2 days, see things, enjoy vaca, and be ALIVE for it.

Are you hauling the boat all over the NE for this trip? There is a nice harbor right down the road from Y.Port. Fishing spots 15min boat ride away in CC bay.

We chose the location on price and quality of the property / did a lot of research and it seemed like the best value . I have a friend who is a caterer on Nantucket and South Beach,Miami, and lives in Asheville ,N.C. He recommended a lot of places on Nantucket , all were way out of our price range. We are on the road for 9 days including flying out of Raleigh/Durham.We flew in to New Haven, and due to the weather our flight out of Philly was cancelled and put us a day behind our schedule. My boat is not seaworthy at this time , I haven't had it in the water for 2 yrs. due to working out of town.Irene kicked our ass the other week , lost trees but nothing hit the boat , thank God , that would have been all it took to send the wife over the edge. You know the scenario ,when are you ever going to fix that boat or sell it.I appreciate all the responses I've received. We are in the Coventry/Warwick area tonight and tomorrow night and will be hitting Newport for the next 2 days.

Wildman,

What about your Windmill Weekend ?

I second heading down cape. Chatham...Orleans through the CC National Seashore to Provincetown. Knock around the harbors, charter a boat, catch fish, drink @ bars and eat food Lots of nice trails/biking @ CCN Seashore. Have fun

WWP2,
Did you get my email. If not, I spent a fair amount of time on the cape over a span of 50 years. I also live north of
Boston and have been boating out of Newburyport both north and south: Portland to Mystic. Give me a call at 978.636.5161.
