I can't make a big initial outlay of cash for a turnkey boat and I won't finance one. So I'm effectively "self-financing" by paying for the repairs as I go. It may cost me more in the long run, but it wasn't interest expense.

The bottom line is I want a center console and I think I want a 23'. I have my eye on a 1987 23' Center Console. I'm pretty sure it's not Potter built, I just want to ensure that the 1987's were still built solidly and not by Tracker Marine.

Can somebody tell me about the lineage of the 23's and speak to the quality of their construction? I appreciate any advice.

You talking about this one ? http://www.classicseacraft.com/commu...ad.php?t=23587

No, it's a different boat. I hope to see it this weekend.

Thanks for the model listing Blue Heron. I knew I had seen it somewhere in the forum...
