Spending that time with your father is priceless, so if you are up to it find a hull for less than $1000.00, I personly have restored quite a few hulls and and you will never fined another boat that means more to you and your father than one you and your father complete with love sweat and tears, go for it..I am a single father of three with 100% full custody I hope and pray i live to see the day my children post on a fourm as you did wanting to spend this quality time with me doing something i love, you can never put a price on that..good luck
