I've never ridden in a 23 cc,but the ride in my 23 Tsunami is great at the helm, and even better amidships.
We use a folding canvas deck chair for a third seat placed on the port side about mid deck, and even in the nasty steep close together crap it's a comfortable ride.Everyone likes that seat.
I always have the complete canvas and side curtains up,so we stay dry.In the rough though, we'd get a little wet if we took the side curtains down.
The ride is still great though.
If it's a continuous bumpy ride in real snotty conditions the helm seat can be a little harsh, but not the end of the world. It's rare when I have to stand up to cushion the ride.I have a tendency to be a bit of a cowboy which tends to drive my crew a little nuts at times.
Must be from my childhood hot rod days, there's a little part of me that likes trying to beat other boats into the pierheads when we're running in.(I still haven't grown up.)

One thing I found though, after having owned a few other boats in this size, and even bigger, the 23 Tsunami/Sceptre blows them away in the ride, even at the helm, when the water conditions go south.
