No luck on the Seaway!? What happened to those nice Mainers?

$1400 need to sell ASAP, as I've got my eyes on new power in CL.

Why did you decide to not go with 5" extension kit?
I would think that if your power is reliable and you already know what you have it might be worth it?

No real reason other than I'm nervous about adding something extra that did not originally come on the engine. I've also heard mixed reviews about installation directions which leave a lot to the imagination. Does anyone on here have any experience with shaft extensions? It's not out of the question it just makes me really nervous. Thanks for any help.

Talk to Tim (Bigshrimpin). He knows a lot about Mercs and he's close by (Onset).

I have done 3 shaft extensions..one on a 135 Merc on my Seafari. One on my 18 (125 merc) and one on my Aquasport (GT150). No problems at all and straight forward. I prefer shaft extensions because I can get freshwater motors off of bass boats and then convert them to 25"...

Thanks Fred that is good to hear. If it doesn't sell soon I'll order a kit. Thanks again.

Default Nyet!

They were just incredibly serious tire kickers I guess. Seaway goes back on the market in about 3 weeks.
