No, live monster sized sardines that day out of Del Rey. Apparently, they only found this bait for a week or so, everything else has been tiny anchovies. I also had a 10lb maybe 15 minutes after that in the same spot. It was mothers day so I had to leave them biting and head in early. The other interesting thing is I caught five baby octopus, well, most of them were just hanging on to the bait, not hooked. I've only caught one before personally in all my time in that area, pretty cool.
