Thanks for the input guys...
Don..I will have to go to Lowe's..I am not allowed back at Home Depot ![]() Questions: -Would 2 jackplates work ok as a temp fix or will it put too much stress on transom? Was thinking of going with something like this pictured..or should I just bite the bullet and raise transom? -Cost of jackplates will probably be more than cost for me to buy materials and raise transom...thinking out loud Transom is solid as a rock now. -Any pictures of 30" transom jobs? -Fred

Hey Fred, why not a single 300 hp etec? When my brother went from twin 140's on his 23' to a single 250 hp his performance went up and his fuel burn went down. He did have to go with a 30" shaft on the single though.
